NATURAL INGREDIENTS / ROOIBOS AND MARULA OIL

Rooibos

Found in the Cederberg Mountains of South Africa, indigenous rooibos contains the essential minerals vital for hair growth: zinc, calcium, copper and potassium.

Used as a natural remedy by the Khoisan people, the original hunter-gatherers of Africa, rooibos has long been recognised as a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, and is being proven effective in cosmetic and clinical use.

Clinical research also acknowledges rooibos as a rich source of polyphenols, potential regulators of hair growth.

Marula Oil

The nutrient-rich Marula tree is found in the savannahs of Southern Africa.  Regarded as sacred in many African communities, it is widely used in traditional medicine.

Marula oil contains powerful fatty acids, antioxidants, and minerals that help maintain a healthy scalp and encourages hair growth.

Really enjoying this shampoo. First time using such a product and am very impressed! Hair stays clean longer and really foams well.  Really enjoying this shampoo. First time using such a product and am very impressed! Hair stays clean longer and really foams well. After 27 years I finally found a wonderful product that is actually for Oily Hair and it keeps my hair looking healthy for 2 days straight.

WOW! Just used mine for the first time, highly sceptical I purchase this just because it seamed too good to be true. Turned out to be very pleasantly surprized. Now just to see how long it lasts, my hair length is passed my waistline.

I have been using Nul shampoo and conditioner for just under a year now and my hair is in amazing condition. Even though my hair is chemically treated with blonde peroxide, Nul managed to restore its shine and bounce. Would highly recommend

FAQs

Does your Nul shampoo bar create a rich lather?

Yes, Nul shampoo bars produce a creamy rich lather for natural, gentle cleansing and conditioning, and are gentle on your hair and scalp.

How long does one bar last?

One bar lasts for roughly 60 – 80 washes, depending on the length of your hair. One Nul bar is equivalent to three 250 ml bottles of liquid shampoo.

Is your packaging made from 100% recycled materials?

Definitely!  Eco-friendly packaging is one of our core values.

  • All Nul packaging is made from recycled/recyclable materials.
  • Nul shampoo packaging is 100% plastic-free
Is the ink used on Nul packaging eco-friendly?

Inks used in the packaging of Nul shampoos are environmentally friendly and are mostly vegetable-based.

Nul packaging meets the environmentally friendly criteria of the EU Ecolable, Blue Angel, Nordic Ecolabel, Austrian Ecolabel, Heidelberg Saphira Eco and Cradle to Cradle Certification.

Do you test on animals?

That’s a big no no. Nul bars are never tested on animals, and no animal by-products are involved in any part of the formulation, production or testing of Nul products.

I'm vegan, can I use Nul bar shampoos?

Nul bars are 100% vegan, so they’re perfect for you.

Does Nul Natural use organic ingredients?

We certainly do. We work hard to ensure we source raw materials from sustainable suppliers, and we prioritise organic, unrefined materials that are free of chemical fertilisers and pesticides.  But right now there are certain ingredients that we have been unable to source with organic certification. So not every product is organic.  We’re working towards that, but it is a journey.

Do your products contain sulphates?

Nul shampoo bars contain no sulphates, SLS or Parabens.

Sulphates can cause irritation, so we avoid them and suggest you do too,  particularly if your hair is dry, fine or damaged.

How often do I use my shampoo bar compared to normal bottle shampoo?

Use your Nul shampoo bar as often as you would your usual liquid shampoo.
